QSTP fosters an Innovation Mindset by enabling students to experience the global tech innovation landscape and meet its key players, discover their potential…and expand their horizons. 

  • Silicon Valley Spring Break allow students to visit Silicon Valley’s world-leading innovation companies and new tech startup ventures – to learn, make contacts, and build networks.
  • The European Innovation Academy (EIA) Summer Program challenges participants to take a new venture to the market within 15 days, providing real-life experience of establishing a startup.
  • The Arab Innovation Academy, a partnership with European Innovation Academy (EIA), is a two-week bootcamp for students across the Arab region, providing real-world insight into developing and launching a tech-based venture.
Research To Startup (RTS)

The Research To Startup (RTS) program is a QSTP initiative designed to facilitate the creation, acceleration, and scaling of startups that leverage QF-developed technologies.

RTS has 3 phases:

  1. Bootcamp: get to know the technology and develop global scaling concepts.
  2. Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) Program: create a fundable business case.
  3. Startup and Acceleration: build and team and execute a business model, with seed-stage investment from QSTP
QSTP offers different funding vehicles for startups and private sector companies, designed to support the creation of an innovation ecosystem in Qatar.

Product Development Fund

  • Aimed at supporting private sector SMEs, spin-outs, and startups to develop new products/services or processes relevant to local market needs.
  • Provides selected companies with access to up to QAR1.4m in funding.
  • Beneficiaries focus on one of QSTP’s 4 priority industries: Energy, Environment, Healthcare, and ICT.

Tech Venture Fund

  • Enables tech founders and entrepreneurs to source seed-stage capital at the start of their innovation journey.
  • Designed to lower one of the key barriers to starting a tech company.
  • Supports graduates from accelerator programs, spin-outs from branch campuses/research institutes, and established and incubated tech startups.


QSTP XLR8 is an intensive three-month, twice-yearly program designed to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with:

  • Training
  • Coaching
  • Mentorship

It has 3 core modules: Product-Market Fit, Customer Traction, and Investor Awareness

QSTP XLR8 enables participants to determine whether their idea has commercial potential and take a tech-based service/product from concept to prototype

Doha Dojo

Doha Dojo is an exclusive, international, and coveted QSTP-based accelerator program, in partnership with 500 Startups, offering intensive one-to-one training and mentoring to tech startups that are aiming to upscale.

Local Startups

The QSTP Incubation Center is a tech-focused 12-month program aimed at accelerating the establishment and growth of promising Qatar-based tech startups, through:

  • Quick incorporation
  • Collaborative co-working space
  • Business facilitation
  • Access to a network of mentors, funding programs, training, and prototyping facilities
  • Through this program, startups focus on developing a product/service, acquiring early customers, and fundraising

Regional & International Startups

The Startup In Residence Program targets regional and international tech startups looking to develop solutions addressing local and regional needs, and tap into new markets. This ‘soft-landing’ opportunity offers:

  • Incubation space with company registration within the QSTP Free Zone.
  • Corporate partner support.
  • Access to a lead mentor and other QSTP programs.
