QF R&D HOSTS TOWNHALL MEETING ON RESEARCH INTEGRITY

Stakeholders from throughout Qatar’s research community have participated in a communication meeting hosted by Qatar Foundation Research and Development (QF R&D), focusing on the core aspects of research integrity.

QF R&D has established a Standing Committee on Research Integrity, to develop and administer policies that are designed to ensure the accuracy, reliability, credibility, and responsible conduct of research undertaken in Qatar. The townhall meeting - held at Qatar Foundation’s headquarters and attended by representatives from research institutes, academic institutions, ministries, and other organizations involved in research - aimed to raise awareness of the issue and the regulatory framework surrounding it, while also allowing views to be exchanged.

A presentation by Daniela Radu, Ethical Compliance Specialist, Qatar National Research Fund, was followed by a question-and-answer session, and workshops are set to be held by QF R&D over the coming months to enhance understanding of the subject of research integrity among researchers and research organizations across Qatar.
